Job OverviewCanonical, a leading open source software provider, is looking for a Cloud Native Product Manager to drive commercial strategy and marketing for key product areas including Juju, identity management, and observability. The role is remote within the EMEA region.ResponsibilitiesLead the lifecycle of product development by reviewing priorities and goals for assigned product areas.Collaborate closely with engineering leads to oversee product development processes.Work with cross‑functional teams—engineering, design, marketing, and sales—to align on priorities, make informed decisions, and keep business execution on track.Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and align with Canonical’s vision.Co‑create product strategy and execution plans for Juju, identity management, and observability.Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate progress across Canonical.Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement.Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and training.Contribute to the success of the sales team by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings.QualificationsSeasoned product management experience in technical domains related to open source software in cloud native environments.Experience designing or managing software operations for large scale distributed systems.Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers.Comprehensive knowledge of common enterprise security and compliance requirements in software operations.Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence.Passion to write about technologies and experience in developer marketing.Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.A strong work ethic and personal interests aligned with open source philosophy.Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.Nice‑to‑Have SkillsExperience with CNCF projects, identity, or observability systems.Insatiable intellectual curiosity and passion for the future of technology.Strong sense of ownership; responsibility for all aspects of product success.Problem‑solving ability and visionary leadership.BenefitsRemote work environment with twice‑yearly in‑person team sprints.Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.Annual compensation review.Recognition rewards.Annual holiday leave.Maternity and paternity leave.Employee Assistance Programme.Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues.Priority Pass for long‑haul company events and travel upgrades.Equal Opportunity EmployerCanonical is an equal opportunity employer and fosters a workplace free from discrimination.
