In 2021–22 we reached 650 million people.Role PurposeTo provide high quality support to all members of staff in the Teaching Centre working with young learners (3 to 17 years of age).To ensure a safe environment for young learners in British Council and offsite premises.To ensure that Child Protection systems and procedures are respected by staff and customers.Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:To support the British Council Child Protection Strategy by:Supervision of young learners in British Council and offsite premises in Ile-de-France:- before, during and after class, during break times, and late duties.Support the YL team/CPFP in monitoring Child Protection systems and procedures.Look after young learners when they are ill and inform offsite coordinator, Duty Officer, and parents.Inform Senior Teachers and Academic Teams about any young learner behaviour issues.Assist learners and teachers with classroom activities.Administrative duties:Monitor the e-registers and related documentation for the holiday and academic year classes.Follow up on absences and lateness, registration issues for all students (primary and secondary).Help with administrative tasks when required and approved by Teaching Centre Management.Contribute to the Child Protection National Working Group.Setting up and closing of offsite premises:Liaise with the offsite coordinator.Ensure that all Child Protection documents are updated and displayed in appropriate places in the British Council and offsite premises.Set up Child Protection events when required.Role specific knowledge and experience:English / French CEF level B2 minimum.
