Join to apply for the Communications Advisor role at OECD - OCDE. Company Description The Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well‑being of people around the world. Together with governments, policymakers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence‑based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best‑practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard‑setting. Job Description The Directorate for Public Governance is seeking a Communications Advisor to join its Communications Unit. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of communications plans that support both the Organisation’s corporate priorities and Directorates’ needs. This role requires a dynamic and collaborative individual who will report to the Senior Counsellor. Responsibilities Play a constructive role in GOV’s communications function, contributing to an agile, collaborative and supportive culture and positive interactions and accountability among colleagues. Co‑ordinate GOV’s communication activities related to the EEA Norway grants, notably by setting up and managing a taskforce with communication leads in divisions. Partner closely with colleagues in COM and communications colleagues in GOV divisions to ensure seamless coordination and implementation of communication initiatives. Support the Senior Counsellor in the development and implementation of the Annual Communications Plan and specific strategic communications plans to address key public governance priorities. Collaborate with the communication leads in divisions to develop strategic insights, establish evidence‑based performance indicators and contribute to post‑project impact analysis. Support the Senior Counsellor in contributing to monitoring and reporting on the progress of the Annual Communications Plan. Support communication on GOV’s flagship events. Prepare and edit clear, compelling quality content for social media and the web, following the policies, standards and best practices established by COM. Coach GOV colleagues in making technical writing and policy advice more accessible to non‑expert audiences. Develop comprehensive social media toolkits for campaigns and co‑ordinate the creation of multimedia supports (video, graphs, dataviz, etc.), always consistent with the OECD’s branding and visual identity. Co‑ordinate the online presence for the Directorate’s key policy areas and issues, ensuring content complies with the OECD’s corporate strategy and its communications policies, processes and best practices as set by COM. Qualifications An advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, media or international relations. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in communications (i.e., planning, media, social media, web design) as part of a multi‑functional team, preferably in an international organisation. Demonstrated ability to work quickly and collaboratively, contributing ideas on complex communications initiatives. Strong writing skills, notably in making complex issues accessible to a broad range of target audiences. In‑depth understanding of OECD’s substantive work desirable. Experience with impact management and/or digital analytical tools desirable.
