FunctionThis role is part of a transformation aimed at:Strengthening synergies between Research and the broader Limagrain Field Seeds (LFS) organizationImproving the efficiency of R&D investmentsSupporting LFS's sustainable and profitable growthJob description1. Strategic Contribution as a Member of the LFS Executive CommitteeParticipate in building strategic plansMonitor implementation and propose adjustments as needed2. Define the Strategic Roadmap for Research in Line with LFS PrioritiesDevelop LFS's scientific and technological roadmapPropose and implement the Intellectual Property protection and usage strategyIdentify areas for differentiating innovation (genetics, traits, data management, technologies, etc.)Ensure coherence across multi-species and multi-region research programsSet up the necessary organization aligned with the broader LFS structure3. Team and Resource ManagementLead the Research Department Management Team (RDMT)Functionally manage research teams located in BSA (Business & Supply Areas) and JVs across countries, ensuring alignment of goalsDevelop talent, promote diversity, and foster engagement within scientific teams4. Optimize Investments and PerformanceOversee R&D budgets and ensure measurable return on investmentWork with Strategic Marketing to implement harmonized performance indicators across research programsContribute to cost optimization in a margin-constrained environment, in close collaboration with country teams5.
