Our Core Values Empowerment Ownership Resilience Outcome Orientation Playfulness Your role's mission As Lead DevOps Engineer, you will own Pelico’s infrastructure strategy and execution to support our rapid growth. Your mission: ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable multi-cloud environment while driving automation, performance, and operational excellence. As a hands‑on technical leader, you’ll mentor the DevOps team, shape long‑term practices and tooling, and tackle critical challenges to deliver a world‑class developer experience. Key Responsibilities Objective 1: Build & Drive a Long-Term DevOps Strategy and Roadmap Define Pelico’s DevOps vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap in alignment with company objectives and product growth. Lead strategic initiatives to diversify and strengthen the multi-cloud architecture, balancing resilience, cost, and scalability. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to keep Pelico’s infrastructure state‑of‑the‑art. Translate strategic priorities into clear, actionable technical roadmaps for the team. Objective 2: Ensure High Availability, Security and Reliability of Pelico's Infrastructure Guarantee 99.9%+ availability of internal and customer-facing environments. Oversee monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks, ensuring fast detection and resolution of critical issues. Drive infrastructure security & compliance in partnership with the Security team. Implement and maintain HA / DR strategies to ensure business continuity. Conduct regular capacity planning to anticipate future needs. Objective 3: Scale & Optimize CI / CD Pipelines, Automation & Developer Experience Oversee the design and continuous improvement of fully automated, fast, and secure CI / CD pipelines. Champion developer productivity by simplifying deployment workflows and building robust self‑service tools. Optimize build, test, and release cycles in close collaboration with Product & Engineering teams. Lead infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes) to increase standardization and maintainability. Foster a culture of automation & operational excellence. Objective 4: Mentor, Grow & Lead the DevOps Team Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, ensuring their professional growth and career development. Structure the team to balance execution and innovation, empowering engineers to take ownership of their domains. Conduct regular 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to build a high‑performing team culture. Drive knowledge‑sharing initiatives and ensure documentation excellence across infrastructure components. Objective 5: Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence Engineering Practices Act as a bridge between engineering squads, security, and IT, ensuring smooth adoption of DevOps best practices. Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leads to align infrastructure priorities with product roadmap. Evangelize DevOps culture across the company, making practices easy to understand, scalable, and impactful. Communicate complex infrastructure topics to non‑technical stakeholders in a clear, structured way. Location You will be based in Paris, with English as your working language. What We’re Looking For Technical Skills Infrastructure & Cloud Expertise: Strong experience designing and operating complex infrastructure on AWS / GCP / Azure (multi‑cloud preferred). DevOps & Automation Mastery: Deep knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, Helm, Kubernetes, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code practices. Monitoring & Reliability: Expertise with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) and SRE methodologies. Security & Compliance: Solid understanding of security best practices, network architecture, and regulatory compliance. Scripting & Development: Strong proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go for automation and tooling. Interpersonal Skills Strategic Thinking: Ability to define long‑term infrastructure strategies and translate them into actionable plans. Leadership & Mentoring: Proven experience leading teams, growing talent, and fostering a strong DevOps culture. Problem‑Solving & Ownership: Hands‑on attitude to tackle incidents and complex technical challenges. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate effectively with technical & non‑technical stakeholders.
