This high-impact role focuses on reducing CO₂ emissions throughout the logistics chain, from production plants to dealerships, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations while optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will act as a key interface between internal stakeholders, external regulatory bodies, suppliers, and regional teams, shaping and implementing a global sustainability strategy. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational CO₂ Management • Develop and implement CO₂ reduction strategies within the global logistics network, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability goals. • Monitor and simulate the impact of CO₂ regulations on the logistics network, advising on necessary adaptations to minimize costs, penalties, and operational disruptions. • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global CO₂ legislation and proactively anticipate future regulatory changes. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement • Act as a key liaison with external regulatory agencies, advocating for company interests and ensuring smooth regulatory alignment. • Lead internal and external meetings to explain CO₂ dynamics, regulatory implications, and project objectives, fostering a culture of sustainability. • Work closely with the procurement team and participate in supplier meetings to evaluate CO₂ reduction plans and ensure suppliers meet sustainability criteria. • Guide regional logistics teams in implementing global CO₂ reduction initiatives, managing them in a dotted-line structure to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
