Senior Software Engineer – Payroll (PayFit) We are looking for a senior software engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our Payroll Squad. Position Overview Your mission will be to contribute to the entire development process, from system design to delivery monitoring. The Payroll Squad ensures clients can manage payroll reliably and on time. Key challenges: Evolve and scale payroll computation and payslip generation services across France, Spain, and the UK. Strengthen event‑driven and domain‑driven architectures to improve correctness, observability, and developer velocity. Requirements Senior engineer with 6+ years of experience. Comfortable with AWS services, especially serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions, workflow orchestration). Experienced with Infrastructure as Code and deploying projects. Ability to write RFCs, discuss and reach conclusions. Strong problem solver with pragmatic and product‑driven mindset. Team player with good communication skills; comfortable in partially remote team and working with non‑technical colleagues. Follow best practices: code quality, clean architecture, testing, monitoring, code reviews, CI/CD. Fluent in English. Nice to Have Hands‑on experience with Domain‑Driven Design and Event‑Driven Architecture; able to help transition to new architectural vision. Team Interviews (30–45 min). Interview with Engineering Director (30 min). Background check (ISO27001).
