YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Within the Group, you will join the Group P&C Actuarial department. The Group P&C Actuarial department is part of the Group Finance organization and has the following missions: Support the Group and its entities in setting, monitoring, and delivering ambitious financial performance to be achieved through sustainable levers and adequate actuarial practices, Conduct reviews of the Technical Provisions, Fulfil the regulatory role of the Actuarial Function. Within this Department, you will be part of the Group P&C Actuarial Reserve Review team. Starting 2024, the Group P&C Actuarial Reserve Review team have been engaged in carrying out Reserve Reviews of the technical provisions of the operating entities, leading to an effective independent opinion to drive business sustainability and ensure Group-wide continuous improvement of the actuarial practice. JOB PURPOSE : Lead reserves reviews of the technical provisions of entities and/or activities, upon mandate of the top management, Lead interviews with key teams of entities such as underwriting, claims, risk management etc to build understanding of business. Provide key perspectives and business insights to the top management Participates to the Group P&C actuarial practice knowledge sharing Contributes to the steering of the P&C activities MAIN ACTIVITIES : Actuarial Reviews Lead on-site missions, based on mandate from the top management, schedule, prepare and lead on-site reviews with local stakeholders (actuarial, claims, underwriting, finance etc), define the scope of the review, request information and analyse the effectiveness of the reserving process, governance, the quality of the data used and reserving methodologies and the appropriateness of the local actuarial practice. Formulate an independent opinion, recommendations and presentation to the local management, Group management and key stakeholder(s) (GUO, GRM, Local P&C Leads, etc) Provide key perspectives and insights on the risks carried in the technical provision. Best Practice sharing and up skilling Identify best practices across the Group and areas of improvements, and contribute to up skilling the Actuarial practice in the Group Contribute to the animation and coordination of the Actuarial Professional Family Actuarial Function Provide insights to the Group Actuarial Function Holder to issue its opinion in the Actuarial Report technical provision for specific entities/portfolio. Propose bespoke recommendations regarding practice, tools, methodologies YOUR PROFILE The role holder is an experienced Actuary (10+ years) with demonstrated successful experiences in P&C reserving area. Strong overall knowledge of P&C insurance products. Understand and anticipate the impact of economic and trends on P&C business, in different geographies. Strong quantitative acumen. Knowledge of US P&C products, market, legal environment is preferrable. Strong presentational skill, with ability to effectively convey complex issues into clear and easy-to-understand oral or written presentations. Proficiency in English is required, with strong spoken and written skills. Additionally, familiarity with any other European language would be considered an advantage. Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders, Ability to work transversally in a global organization, and to build strong and trusting relationship, Highly self-motivated with a high level of autonomy and ability to define and lead projects Capacity to deal with a wide diversity of situations, to build meaningful overviews as well as performing deep dives on technical matters.
