OverviewWe are seeking a System Integration engineer to contribute to the system integration and testing activities for the next generation vehicle controller and software platform. This new architecture will integrate new and advanced software functions for cloud connectivity and edge processing, enabling highly automated driving and advanced connectivity features. The individual should be an experienced engineer in system integration and testing, with strong skills in system-level issue root-causing and a solid technical background in systems engineering and vehicle architecture development.ResponsibilitiesIntegrate the system of ECUs on a system bench and ensure that the software running on all ECUs functions without issues or vulnerabilities.Flash the software of the involved ECUs, then run a suite of tests that verify communication (Ethernet, CAN, and LIN) among multiple ECUs, assess software stability under stress, and verify diagnostics functions and cybersecurity features.Set up and maintain system benches to ensure a workable test environment that is remotely accessible.Iterate through cycles of testing, analyzing results, and implementing remediation to improve overall security posture.Review relevant requirements, develop test cases using Python and CAPL scripting (among others), automate test case execution on CI pipelines, and analyze results.Collaborate closely with SW design and architecture teams, and with cybersecurity experts.Work with development engineers from the early design phase through system validation, challenging design and logical architecture for a strong end-to-end system experience.Apply expertise in electrical system architecture and vehicle network functions, including design verification, architecture verification, code/script development, system integration, and product validation.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer EngineeringMinimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering/vehicle network development and industrialization, minimally at a sub-system domain levelSolid technical knowledge of E/E architecture and vehicle networks, with understanding of LIN (ISO 17987-1) and CAN (ISO 11898-1)Basic knowledge of Ethernet network (OA TC8) and SOME/IP protocolGood understanding of automotive testing standards for distributed systems (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester)Basic knowledge of agile test methods, tools and automation (experience with Doors Next Generation, IBM RTC, Jira)Experience with coding (e.g., Python, CAPL, C, C++)Preferred QualificationsExperience with continuous integration, testing & deployment (Github, Artifactory, Conan, Teamcity)Experience testing in multiple development contexts (Linux, AUTOSAR, Android, QNX)Experience with model-driven testing in early development stages (functional mockups, PoC(s))Knowledge of cybersecurity mechanisms such as MACSec (IEEE 802.1AE)Experience in project execution roles for electrical architecture industrialization on sub-system and/or vehicle levelAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
