Senior Haskell Engineer – Serokell Serokell is a fast‑growing, fully‑remote software development company working on innovative solutions for complex problems. We’re seeking a senior‑level Haskell software engineer to join our team of adventurous, curious, and inclusive engineers. Hiring Process Overview We invite interested candidates to complete an offline test task as the first step in our process. Within a few months of completing the task, we conduct a technical interview with those whose profiles align with our requirements. When a position opens, we reach out to candidates who performed well and match the specific role. Requirements Strong knowledge of Haskell 98 features, writing your own typeclasses, using applicative functors, and monad transformers (ReaderT & StateT). Familiarity with the modern Haskell ecosystem: text, mtl, lenses, Stack/Cabal, type families, QuickCheck/Hedgehog, Template Haskell. Proficiency in algorithms and data structures: binary search trees, DFS, hash tables, quicksort, etc. Understanding of computer networks (HTTP, TCP/IP) and data‑synchronisation models for modern service APIs. Adherence to good coding culture: code structure, decoupling, git patch management, code‑review practices. Self‑organization at a decent level. Good‑to‑have (not crucial) Experience writing parsers, parser combinators, or parser generators. Advanced Haskell usage (web servers, streaming, serialization, databases, GADTs, DataKinds). Fundamental cryptography knowledge (public/private keys, signing, encryption, hashing). Experience with Rust. What We Offer Competitive salary. Attractive international projects.
