Overview The AD Security Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing security and governance policies related to Active Directory. This role ensures the protection and integrity of identity systems while ensuring compliance with applicable security standards and regulations. Responsibilities Define and implement security policies for Active Directory (baseline, access controls, identity management, audits). Develop a governance framework for AD, including managing roles and responsibilities related to AD administration. Develop a strategic roadmap to align AD capabilities with the organization's security objectives. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure AD complies with regulations (Cyber Matrix, GDPR, NIST). Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address AD risks. Collaborate with compliance and audit teams to document and demonstrate controls in place. Operational Security: Oversee the application of security best practices in AD management (Privileged Access Management, MFA, etc.). Detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats targeting AD. Lead audit and review activities for AD permissions and configurations. Support and Collaboration: Work closely with IT, network, and security teams to ensure the integration of AD policies into daily operations. Educate administrators and key users on AD security best practices. Participate in digital transformation projects to integrate AD security aspects.
