Product Manager - Cloud Join to apply for the Product Manager - Cloud role at Canonical. Canonical's product management team are technologists passionate about delivering products that shape market demands while elevating open source software everywhere. This is an application track for a product management position on Cloud Native. Responsibilities Lead the lifecycle of the product development by reviewing the priorities and goals for the products you are responsible for. Work closely with engineering leads to oversee the product development process. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) to align on priorities and keep business execution on track. Conduct market research, analyse industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with Canonical’s vision. Develop your team through coaching, mentoring and training. Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate across Canonical. Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement. Contribute to the development of strategies to create and maintain high performing teams. Contribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings. Qualifications Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to open source software in the cloud native landscape. Experience designing or managing software operations for large scale distributed systems. Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker containers. Comprehensive knowledge of common enterprise security and compliance requirements in software operations. Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence. Passion to write about technologies and experience in developer marketing. Strong work ethic, personal interests aligned with open source philosophy. Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written). Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events. Nice‑to‑have skills Experience with CNCF projects, identity or observability systems. Demonstrate an insatiable intellectual curiosity and passion for future technology. Strong sense of ownership; all parts of the product’s success are your responsibility. Problem solving, out‑of‑the‑box thinking, visionary leadership.
