We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems. Our stack includes Python/Flask, React, React Native, and PostgreSQL. Global Architecture In 2024 we merged country‑specific codebases into global, configurable modules to enable any team at Alan to develop and launch features seamlessly across markets, aligned with our 2025 technical strategy. Your Mission Design Cross‑Cutting Modules – Transform country‑specific implementations into elegant global components that become building blocks for other teams. Remove Technical Blockers – Tackle blockers that span multiple domains and eliminate the need for team‑specific workarounds, letting product teams focus on core business. Orchestrate Data Transformations – Harmonize different countries’ data models while preserving local flexibility, consolidating existing data into unified schemas. Build and Own What You Create – Own the entire lifecycle from design to long‑term maintenance. We build, deploy, and maintain our solutions. What We’re Looking For You write code and maintain it; there is no ivory‑tower architect. You navigate complex systems across multiple domains. You have experience with diverse architectural patterns and can articulate trade‑offs. You spot blockers that affect multiple teams and design solutions to remove them. Is It You We’re Looking For? We seek problem‑solver engineers with 5+ years of experience who get excited about simplifying complex business problems: Capable of tackling high‑impact & high‑risk projects involving many engineers. Design efficient systems and engineering practices that align with and facilitate collaboration between multiple teams/products. Mentor other engineers and lead crews (more details in our articles). Contribute to hiring and shape candidates’ hiring experience. Fit at Alan Well‑versed in Object Oriented Programming (Python, Java, C#) and enthusiastic about modern JavaScript. Willing to work in Python/JavaScript (no need for expertise in both). Passionate about building products. Self‑starting and entrepreneurial. Humble and open to growth at any seniority. Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching. Fluent in English (French not required).
