We are looking for a People and Culture Specialist to join our team in France, supporting colleagues across our two offices in Pontchâteau and Le Havre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building strong employee relationships, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring HR best practices are embedded in our organization. The Role: As our People and Culture Specialist, you will serve as the key HR point of contact for our operations in France, providing expert support to both field technicians and office-based employees. You will oversee core HR functions including employee relations, lifecycle management, payroll, compliance, and contractual matters, while working collaboratively with the recruitment team on hiring and onboarding processes. You’ll be based in either the Pontchâteau or Le Havre office, with regular travel between sites. Flexibility and a willingness to connect with colleagues across locations are essential. Primary Responsibilities: Act as the primary HR contact in France, ensuring compliance with French employment law, company policies, and French HR best practices. Maintain adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement – Metal Collective; Develop and refine HR policies, processes, and handbooks, ensuring clarity and legal alignment, while communicating these effectively across the workforce. Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including contracts, changes, promotions, and offboarding, ensuring all actions are legally compliant and well-documented. Support onboarding in collaboration with the recruitment team and coordinate accurate payroll with internal and external partners. Ensure all HR-related documentation and records are accurate, complete, and up to date. Advise on employee relations matters such as performance, absence, grievances, and disciplinary processes, ensuring fairness and consistency. Build strong working relationships with managers and employees to support engagement, retention, and a positive company culture. Organize internal events to strengthen team spirit and collaboration. Occasionally contribute to global HR initiatives and employer branding activities, such as job fairs or internal campaigns. Essential Requirements and Competencies: Strong understanding of French labour law, HR compliance, employment contracts, the Collective Bargaining Agreement – Metal Collective, and Comité Social et Économique (CSE) structures. Approachable, trustworthy, and genuinely committed to employee well‑being. Solid background in core HR processes, with a proactive approach to identifying improvements. Clear and confident in explaining HR policies and procedures to employees and managers. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and follow‑through. Working knowledge of payroll processes and coordination. Willing and able to travel frequently between the Pontchâteau and Le Havre offices. Fully fluent in English, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across both written and verbal channels in a professional setting. Why Join Us?
