This is an opportunity to help bring new medicines to patients faster by shaping technical direction, guiding teams, and driving engineering excellence at scale. What you’ll do Serve as a technical leader and role model, shaping technical direction across multiple engineering teams. Architect scalable, reliable, and secure platforms, ensuring maintainable and high-performance systems. Lead initiatives that span teams and domains, identifying leverage points that unlock organizational productivity. Own technical decisions for complex projects, balancing pragmatism with long-term excellence. Drive data-driven decision making and proactively remove delivery blockers. Champion DevOps principles, Infrastructure as Code, and CI / CD best practices. Mentor senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical mastery, openness, and continuous learning. Collaborate across engineering, product, and scientific teams to align priorities and outcomes. Represent engineering in strategic discussions with leadership and external partners. Requirements Deep experience in software engineering, with a proven record of leading complex technical initiatives. Strong background in JavaScript / TypeScript with Node.js on the backend and React or similar on the frontend. Expertise in cloud-native systems, microservice architectures, and API design. Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar). Solid understanding of CI / CD pipelines, observability, and cloud security best practices. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. A growth mindset, curiosity, and passion for learning and innovation.
