Team/Role Overview The Global Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs, as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce. The team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the ESPA team across the world. As Business and Corporate Communications Lead for France, you will report to the Head of Communications for Europe and be responsible for supporting the development and execution of proactive external and internal communications for Citi in France. What You’ll Do External Communications: develop, lead and execute on external communication strategy and plans for Citi in France; manage proactive engagement with key media outlets; develop messaging, briefing documents and speaking notes for senior executives; amplify brand activities and events in the external market; identify opportunities and build a strong pipeline of media and social media activity; organize and manage speaking opportunities; build strong relationships with trade associations and partners; support evaluation and metrics related to Citi’s communications in the market. Internal Communications and Engagement: develop and execute internal engagement plans and initiatives; plan and manage internal communications channels and content; plan and manage employee engagement events; develop content for events; evaluate and implement internal communications metrics. Reputation Risk Assessment, Crisis and Issues Management: assess risk when business decisions are made; demonstrate consideration for the firm’s reputation; safeguard Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Volunteerism: develop and execute plans to support volunteering activities and other initiatives related to Citi’s partnerships and relationships with NGOs. What We’ll Need From You Professional experience in Communications and Public Relations, either in-house or agency, preferred. Comprehensive understanding and proven track record in media relations and stakeholder engagement. Team player with strong leadership qualities, excellent planning and project skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed. Excellent communications skills – editing, writing and digital communications skills; experience in content creation for internal and external purposes. Social media content development experience and working knowledge of major social media platforms. Creativity, initiative, strong relationship management skills, and ability to lead and influence at a senior level. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management, communications, marketing or related field. People management experience is an advantage. Language skills: fluency in English and French is required.
