NetOps - Network Engineer Infrastructure & Cloud – London Stock Exchange Group Do you have a passion for technology? We are looking for a skilled NetOps – Network Engineer to join the LCH SA Infrastructure & Cloud Team, supporting Post Trade Business Services. Your role is vital in designing, deploying, and maintaining resilient, scalable, and highly available systems, ensuring efficient performance and availability of our critical environments. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Implement, tune, and conduct ongoing administration of the infrastructure layer, including proposing application system changes, better uses, and improvements. Improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement. Lead support services before launch through activities such as system design consulting, developing features of the infrastructure platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews. Provide mentorship to other team members on availability and performance of critical services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and building automated responses for non‑exceptional service conditions. Maintain services once live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. Lead sustainable and efficient incident response. Scale systems sustainably through automation and evolve systems by advocating for changes that improve reliability and velocity. Write highly optimised and accurate code for LCH SA and LSEG products and solutions. Continuously build and apply relevant domain knowledge relating to workflows, data pipelines, business policies, configurations and constraints. Support essential processes while ensuring high‑quality standards are met. What you’ll be doing Assess, plan, design and implement the network infrastructure (DHCP/DNS/IPAM, Firewalls, Network Load Balancers, Time protocol, DNS, proxy) as highly available and scalable solutions to support critical applications and services. Capacity planning and troubleshooting of the network applications, infrastructure, and services. Monitor and provide observability of the network applications and infrastructure. Source code management and development. Leverage testing environments using industry practices for pre‑testing changes and proof of concept. Solve customer networking issues across networks (cloud & on‑premises). Participate in on‑call rotation shifts. You’ll bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). At least 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, SRE or similar role in a regulated or highly available environment. Experience planning and designing large‑scale networks (multiple sites, multiple products). Experience with VMware, Cisco Switches, Network Security and knowledge in many of the following cloud networking technologies: IS‑IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, Network Virtualization. Experience with VMware technology. Expertise in cloud AWS, Azure, Google technologies a plus. Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation/configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Expertise in containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous. Experience operating in a regulated environment with specific security constraints. Experience in systems monitoring and capacity management. Adherence to applicable risk control frameworks, policies and procedures.
