PCB Designer (H/F) NEW at Ekinops Location: Lannion, France. Type of offer: CDI. Language requirement: English (open to anglophone candidates). You join the Transport Hardware team located in Lannion. The Hardware team designs and supports Hardware development for high-speed and high-capacity optical transport for metro regional and long-haul applications. You will play a role in the design of complex PCB. Duties and Responsibilities PCB placement and routing of complex board design Design owner from initial constraints (PCB stack-up, raw material technology, etc.) through completion (release for manufacturing). Release complete documentation for manufacturing, including Gerber files (ODB++ format), fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and all supporting documentation. Design in collaboration with other functional groups (Mechanics, Electronics, Industrialization and Manufacturing). Improve design methodology (parts creation, library management, thermal and electronics simulation, high-frequency impedance matching, etc.). Implement design standards, including DFM and DFX, to satisfy manufacturing requirements (pad stacks, required spacing and clearances). Lead in design reviews. Profile 10+ years of experience in PCB design. Key Skills Comprehensive knowledge of design requirements as it relates to electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirements. Experience with Mentor Expedition tools will be considered a plus. Ability to manually route complex multi-layer PCB integrating high-frequency and digital circuitry (familiarity with microcontrollers, fine-pitch BGAs). Significant experience with high-speed frequency layout (up to 70 GHz), PCB stack‑up as it relates to impedance, cross coupling. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and design requirements for board fabrication (IPC, ISO, UL, etc.). English: intermediate level. Good team player. Open to learn.
