Embedded Linux Software Engineer

We compare with the best version of ourselves What is the role? The engineer on this position will use the Yocto Project to configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems. Daily tasks will include modifying and maintaining low-level Linux kernel drivers using C and integrate third-party libraries, tools, and drivers into custom Linux distributions. Some of your daily tasks will include: Dеveloping software solutions tailored to space applications, including satellite systems and payloads Designing, implementing, and testing embedded software to ensure reliability and performance in space environments Debug, test, and validate software on target hardware platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions Optimize software to improve system adaptability, performance, and security What do we look for? Experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes, layers, and customizing images Experience with C for developing Linux kernel drivers Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative developmentFamiliarity with ARM or other embedded architectures Experience with debugging tools and methods for embedded systems (e.g., GDB, JTAG, oscilloscope) Familiarity with Linux kernel device trees and FOSS bootloaders Familiarity with ARM SoCs secure and unsecure boot process Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field How to Stand Out: Experience with Xilinx Multi-Processor System-on-Chip (MPSoC) Experience with NVIDIA Jetson Orin Knowledge of networking protocols and related debugging (PCIe, TCP/IP, CAN, UART, SPI, etc.) Experience with automated build systems and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) Familiarity with cross-compilation and debugging on resource-constrained hardware Why EnduroSat?
