The Opportunity This is an R&D position focused on attention‑based foundational models. We are looking for 1–2 R&D Engineers with a strong track record in machine learning model research. The project offers a flexible GPU budget in the 7‑digit range. You Will Perform distributed model training. Help improve and adapt model architectures based on experimental results. Design new tasks and experiments. Optionally oversee activities of team members involved in data preparation. Requirements Cover letter: A brief 2‑3 line introduction is appreciated. Published at least one paper at NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML as lead author or with significant conceptual and code contributions. Significantly contributed to an LLM training effort that became newsworthy (e.g., topping a HuggingFace benchmark), preferably using multiple GPUs. Spent at least six months in a leading machine learning research center (e.g., Google Brain, DeepMind, Apple, Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, MILA). ICPC World Finalist, IOI, IMO, or IPhO medalist in high school. You Are Deep learning researcher with a track record in language models and/or reinforcement learning (vision or robotics backgrounds also welcome). Interested in improving foundational architectures and creating new benchmarks. Experienced with hands‑on experiments and model training in PyTorch, Jax, or TensorFlow. Strong understanding of GPU architecture, memory design, and communication. Good understanding of graph algorithms. Familiar with model monitoring, Git, build systems, and CI/CD. Respectful of others. Fluent in English. Bonus Points Knowledge of distributed training approaches. Familiarity with Triton. Successful track record in algorithms and data science contests.
