Overview Risk Consultant, Power & Renewable Energy – Allianz Commercial. Let’s care for tomorrow. Role Based in Paris la Défense, the Risk Consultant focuses on power and renewable energy projects, supporting underwriting, loss prevention and claims support. Key responsibilities: Perform desktop reviews and risk assessments of renewable energy and power projects (wind farms, photovoltaic, solar plants, battery energy storage systems). Summarize exposures and controls. Participate in client and broker meetings to assist underwriters and promote loss prevention activities. Work with clients and brokers to develop customized and cost‑effective loss control plan programs. Conduct site visits or coordinate third‑party surveys. Revise and validate plant maintenance plans. Generate and review reports, issue necessary recommendations. Monitor loss control measures and keep cost expenses within budget. Review claims reports and support the claims department in the adjustment process in terms of technical input and collecting risk management material. Monitor technical developments and regulations in the industry to inform Allianz Commercial’s strategic direction. Qualifications Required: Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree (ideally Master’s level) with significant engineering experience in renewable energy (wind farms) and power generation. GWO certified (or ready to be certified). Self‑starter with initiative, strategic mindset, future focused. Excellent team spirit, work ethic and strong communication skills. Fluent in French and English (other languages a plus). IT proficient, interested in using AI tools to support day‑to‑day tasks. Ability to travel regularly in France and occasionally in Europe or beyond.
