UNIVITY is looking for a RF EGSE Engineer – Telecommunications Satellite System to join the team in Toulouse office and reports to the Payload Manager.ResponsibilitiesAs a RF EGSE Engineer for telecommunication satellite system, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of RF test benches, from component level up to full satellite level. The role sits at the interface between RF design, satellite integration, environmental testing, and system validation.RF EGSE Design and DevelopmentDefine the architecture of RF test EGSE (RF, IF, baseband, synchronization, rack)Select and integrate test equipment: spectrum / signal analyzers, RF signal generators, vector network analyzers (VNA), SDR platforms, attenuators, couplers, RF switchesDesign and validate measurement chains (calibration, losses, dynamic range)Support the certification of the EGSETest Automation and Data ProcessingDevelop test and automation scripts using: Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++Automate: test sequences, measurement acquisition, test report generationAnalyze test data and produce formal test reportsSatellite RF Testing and ValidationPrepare and conduct satellite RF testingMeasure and analyze: output power, EIRP, G/T, noise figure, C/N0, Eb/N0, spectrum characteristics, ACLR, EVM, synchronization and frequency stability, troubleshootingIntegration and supportProvide RF support to satellite AIT activitiesContribute to test reviewsInterface with Payload engineering team, System engineering team, AIT engineering team and suppliers/partnersQualificationsMSc or Engineering degree in telecommunications, RF, electronics, or equivalentMinimum 3 years of experience in RF testing, including at least one experience in EGSE design, integration and validationExperience with signal generator, spectrum analyzer, VNA, power meterExperience with hardware integration (RF, electrical)Programming languages: Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++Experience in developing software and test scriptsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issuesStrong analytical skills, autonomy, and rigorGood written and oral communication skills in English.People come in different shapes and sizes and it is difficult to write a job description for someone we have not yet met.
