Diesel Technician – Ryder Supply Chain Solutions Permanent, full‑time, mid‑level position supporting our truck fleet in Broussard, Louisiana. Position Description Joining the Ryder team as a Diesel Technician involves maintaining and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electronic issues, and supporting shop operations. Benefits Hourly Pay: $26.06 per hour Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification, up to $700 Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter Sign‑On Bonus: $1,250 after 30 days and $1,250 after 90 days Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off Hours: Second shift 11:00 am – 7:30 pm Annual Merit Pay Increases On‑the‑Job Paid Training Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) starting 30 days 12 weeks paid maternity leave (eligibility required) Paid Time Off: 80 hours per year from day one Additional day off for U.S. Military Veterans Company match on 401(k) 15 % employee discount on high‑valued stock PPE, uniforms, and boot allowance provided Top Technician Recognition Program: Cash prizes $250–$50,000 Tuition Repayment Program up to $5,000 Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Vocational or technical certification; post‑secondary degree or technical certifications preferred Basic mechanical tools Experience in automotive gas or diesel engine repair, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work) At least 2 years of combined classroom training and work experience (preferred) Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred) Must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire if not already possessed Pass Ryder drug test Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification for the past 3 years Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties Execute standard vehicle maintenance tasks Carry out component inspections and repairs Conduct preventive maintenance Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable Identify root causes of basic failures or conditions and perform necessary repairs Replace defective components as instructedPerform facility maintenance duties Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints when assigned a task Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation Work in accordance with all federal, state, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT) Support operations as required, including Service Island support Contact For more information, call Chelsey or text “Broussard T2” at 904‑932‑0143.
