Today, we’re a team of nearly 500 people, including 150 talented engineers, working together from Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Berlin. 👀 Engineering at Ageras At Ageras, our 150 engineers design scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions through a modern architecture that drives our growth. Organized into specialized tribes, they collaborate in cross-functional teams—including an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, a Product Designer, and Software Engineers—to foster innovation and excellence. Our structure maximizes impact and ownership : Product teams develop core features for key business domains (invoicing, banking, accounting). Platform teams manage infrastructure and core services (Cloud, DevOps, Core APIs, developer tools). Data team builds data pipelines for engineering, modeling, and analytics. You will join the Compliance & Risks team , which is responsible for detecting and combating fraud risks for Ageras and its clients by leveraging the data we have. The goal is to implement pragmatic solutions to improve our clients' security. This can range from providing our fraud and AML (Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing) operators with effective tools and precise data so they can manually review sensitive transactions, to collaborating with technical teams to modify the behavior of certain features ✨ Regarding our stack, our architecture is structured in microservices and cloud functions, and we use Python, Nodejs, Typescript, FastAPI, GCP, Snowflake, Meltano, Terraform , and dbt for data modeling. 📋 Your Role as a Data Software Engineer Tackle fraud daily by designing and deploying innovative security scenarios Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support regulatory reporting for financial institutions, including the design of scalable, future-proof data models Work hand-in-hand with teams across Fraud, Compliance, Security, and Tech to ensure seamless integration and collaboration Support operations teams in their day-to-day use of the Back Office, focusing on performance, usability, and efficiency Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code, conduct thorough testing, and participate in code reviews to uphold high quality standards Implement automated testing to guarantee product reliability, improve performance, and quickly resolve production issues Promote best practices in software development, such as domain-driven design, clean code principles, pair programming, and mentoring Contribute to architectural decisions by proposing and implementing forward-thinking technical solutions 🙌 Your profile You have 5+ years of backend development experience in Python, and you know how to structure complex systems You're comfortable working in a JavaScript / TypeScript environment and have hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP You have a solid track record in building scalable, reliable, and evolutive data pipelines You’re an effective communicator, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders You pay close attention to detail and are deeply committed to delivering high-quality, impactful solutions Bonus : You’ve worked in highly regulated industries such as banking or insurance, and have experience with fraud detection or recommendation systems You’re fluent in English and thrive in collaborative, fast-moving environments 💚 Our recruitment process 1️⃣ A 30' first callwith Annaïg (Talent Acquisition Specialist) to get to know you better and share more about Ageras. 2️⃣ A 45' interview with Olivier (Engineering Manager) to discuss your past experiences and the role we are offering. 3️⃣ A 45' business case presentation to highlight your skills and give you a hands-on feel for the role + soft skills interview to see how we can best support your growth at Ageras. 4️⃣ A 30' team introduction, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
