In a nutshell A Head of Product Management is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the overall product vision, strategy and roadmap. Key duties include leading and mentoring a product management team, conducting user surveys, driving cross‑functional collaboration with software engineering, business process experts, and business unit managers, overseeing the product lifecycle, monitoring KPIs, and serving as a strategic advisor to group IT leadership. At Eurofins the Product Management team organizes and coordinates initiatives to standardise the business processes of more than 300 laboratories before engaging a product roadmap. This standardisation is achieved through concept alignments and by delivering Business Process Documents that are prerequisites for any specification of Business Requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute product strategies, set product vision and create a compelling roadmap. Evaluate and manage build‑vs‑buy decisions, including third‑party components (e.g. Microsoft M365). Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and designers. Manage product budgets and resource allocation, set KPIs to monitor performance. Champion continuous improvement through retrospectives, product reviews and internal process audits. Assess performance via lead time for requirement management, team velocity and audit of delivery. Conduct NPS surveys and focus groups to identify development opportunities. Work closely with software engineering, business best‑practice teams, process experts and other IT teams to ensure successful product development and launch. Act as liaison with senior leadership and stakeholders, representing the company's product strategy. Facilitate alignment workshops or sessions to support cross‑functional decision‑making. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, requirements definition to launch and optimisation. Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle across internal and external digital products. Define and monitor KPIs to assess product performance and make data‑driven decisions. Review and define standards for software requirement management, sizing standards and arbitration processes. Ensure regulatory compliance is embedded into product design and delivery processes. Qualifications Proven ability to lead and influence teams and communicate complex ideas to stakeholders. Capacity to analyse lab regulations, complex processes and user feedback to make informed decisions. Strong understanding of business objectives, laboratory efficiency drivers and regulatory constraints. Experience collaborating with software engineering, business operational excellence teams and quality experts. Strong ability to drive arbitration on requirements, clarifying business values and engineering costs. Familiarity with Agile or hybrid product development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, SAFe). Comfortable using tools such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint or similar for requirement tracking. Ability to manage conflicting stakeholder priorities and drive alignment based on business value and feasibility. Strong technical understanding to facilitate collaboration with engineering teams. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Mandatory experience as a professional business analyst after a BSc/MSc degree. 8+ years of experience in product management and team leadership, preferably in an industrial context. Proven experience in streamlining business requirements for a distributed network of laboratories. Deep understanding of regulation, norms and country‑specific legislation constraints. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or Value Stream Mapping. Experience with budgeting, hiring and resource planning. Skilled in leading specification reviews and process description assessments. Experience working with or managing digital platforms in a regulated B2B or industrial context. Prior involvement in regulatory audits or designing products to meet ISO, GxP or other compliance requirements. Benefits Competitive salary package, including bonus and benefits.
