Your Role & Profile As an Intern Software Engineer on the VaR/Risk Management team, you will migrate existing Oracle SQL results storage to MongoDB and design a modern, intuitive web interface to display key risk metrics such as VaR. You will also develop supporting APIs, contribute to product quality, and work proactively in an international team. What You’ll Do Design and develop the solution for storing results in MongoDB. Ensure smooth migration of data from Oracle SQL to MongoDB while meeting performance and security requirements. Design and implement a user‑friendly web interface accessible via a link in an email generated by the alert. Develop and maintain REST APIs for reliable, high‑performance data exchange. Apply best practices and contribute to overall product quality. What We’re Looking For Final year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Solid foundation in at least one object‑oriented programming language (C#, C++, .NET Core, Blazor). Good understanding of software design principles and patterns. Knowledge of relational databases and SQL fundamentals. Strong problem‑solving skills, enthusiasm for technical challenges, and keen attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Eagerness to learn new technologies and adopt best practices. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment. Bonus Points for Experience building personal or academic projects with object‑oriented programming and SQL. Familiarity with the Visual Studio development environment. Hands‑on experience with version control systems (Git). Familiarity with WinForms controls and DevExpress components. Awareness of performance, memory optimization, and usability considerations. Exposure to automated testing and Test‑Driven Development (TDD). Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting. Commitment to quality and comprehensive documentation. Financial literacy, with a basic understanding of investment products and strategies.
