Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances Canonical is hiring for an Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances role. This open-track position welcomes candidates at all seniority levels to drive revenue growth across the Sales and Alliances teams. Location: Remote opportunities available globally. Responsibilities Advance a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem and open‑source selling models. Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms. Build and expand strategic relationships. Own the strategy and development of sales engagements. Grow customer awareness of open‑source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu. Deliver on targets, objectives and provide a voice for the partner and/or customer. Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships in person. Align and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow and transact. Work closely with Marketing, Sales Engineering and Product Management to deliver on objectives. Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and our own leadership team. Qualifications Track record of exceeding revenue expectations in the technology field. Experience with Linux and open source. Exceptional academic record from high school and university. Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling alternative path. Confidence to speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas. Leadership and commitment to skill development and mentorship. Passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects. Strong work ethic and confidence to excel alongside colleagues. Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability. Appreciative of diversity and effective in a multi‑cultural environment. Thoughtfulness and self‑motivation with a results‑oriented mindset. Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events and regularly meet clients and partners.
