Senior/Staff Software Engineer Backend – Station F Apply now for this senior‑level backend engineering role. Be one of the first 25 applicants. About Spacefill Spacefill edits the first 3PL management platform in Europe. It allows companies to collaborate with multiple warehouses via a middleware and web platform for inventory, orders, and company data management. Founded in June 2018 by Maxime Huzar, Quentin Drillon, and Gustave Roche, Spacefill aims to make warehouse storage as simple as data storage in the cloud. It has experienced strong growth, raising three funding rounds with the latest 25 million euros in March 2022 to accelerate and build its connected network across Europe. Description du poste Our team of experienced developers manages a highly connected technical platform involving: Databases APIs Connectivity with other logistics actors Frontends for various client types Flows with our CRM We handle both development (Postgres, Node, React, TypeScript, Python) and operations (AWS, Docker). Challenges include data processing, scalability, and end‑to‑end ownership of architecture, design, development, iterative delivery, and production monitoring. This is a backend developer role: about 90 % of the work is Node.js / TypeScript / SQL. Technical challenges Optimizing SQL queries for analytics or relational needs: index creation, pre‑calculation. Monitoring and implementing new features on data ingestion or transfer pipelines between Spacefill and external services (EDI or API). Designing data delivery solutions to varied systems with prioritization and failure tolerance. Data migration to support new business logic. Senior developers will regularly provide technical leadership to other senior engineers. Requirements At least 7 years of backend/data development experience on web applications. Transversal work on a full platform (databases, backends, APIs) handling high query volumes, ideally > 50 qps. Experience in operations: deployments, production monitoring, incident management. Desire to spend 80 % of time coding (production‑ready code) and 20 % interacting with cross‑functional teams. Strong communication, business interest, intellectual agility, pragmatism. Solid architectural skills: asynchronous usage, database design for scalability. Excellent SQL and general database knowledge. Bonus points Previous Tech Lead or CTO experience. Residence in Paris. Recruitment process Initial video call with the CTO (30 min). Technical test (1 h). Meeting with the CPO (30 min) + 1 PM + 1 developer. Additional information Contract: CDI. Start date: 1 January 2026. Location: Paris (remote possible). Education: Master ≥ Bac+5. Experience: > 5 years. Salary: €70 000–€85 000 per annum.
