This employee has the authority of directing and supervising the dental care provided by other personnel in their dental clinic. Supervision does not include the right to hire or fire nor the administration of agency non-dental policies.Academic and Experience RequirementsD.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental schoolValid DEA license to prescribe narcoticsCurrent CPR/AED certificationA valid license to practice dentistry in MichiganOther Qualifications DesiredConsiderable knowledge of the techniques, equipment used, and current developments in the field of dentistryPossession and application of dental skillsAbility to advise, direct, and consult with ancillary personnel and provide leadership for themAbility to deliver services to an underserved population in an urban settingCompassion for, and ability to work with non-cooperative clients, with patience and in a non-threatening mannerAbility to gain and maintain trust and good relations with clientsMon, Tue, Thu, and Fri from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Wed from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM #J-18808-Ljbffr
