At New Balance, We Got Now. New Balance is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing to lead its strategic and operational marketing efforts in France. This leadership role is essential to driving brand growth, market share and relevance by bridging lifestyle and performance categories and delivering impactful, consistent brand experiences across all channels. Missions. As Head of Marketing France, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the local brand strategy and leading its execution across all consumer touchpoints. You will be responsible for continuing to build and elevate the brand by translating global direction into locally relevant and nuanced plans, driving visibility, engagement, and sell-through across both lifestyle and performance categories. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, with a deep understanding of the french media landscape and the ability to navigate cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment. 1. Build & Execute a Strategic, Consumer‑Centric Omni Channel Marketing Plan Develop and implement the French marketing strategy in line with global brand objectives and local market opportunities. Drive brand awareness, engagement, and commercial impact, ensuring consistent and compelling brand messaging that resonates with both lifestyle and performance focused consumers. Lead the regional media strategy, ensuring the right mix of channels to drive brand growth. Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver integrated campaigns across digital, retail, media, and event activations to deliver compelling consumer experiences. Omnichannel alignment, ensuring all channels like Retail, Ecommerce and Trade Marketing are aligned to create a consistent and seamless omnichannel journey. Leverage data, insights and trends to continuously optimize marketing plans and spot new opportunities. Using various (digital) KPI’s and insights to inform the future marketing direction. 2. Lead & Inspire a High‑Performing Marketing Team Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary marketing team across Brand, Communications, PR, Trade Marketing and Ecommerce. Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders, from sales to retail, as well as regional and global teams. Build strong partnerships with external agencies and media partners, ensuring creative excellence and strategic alignment. Promote a culture of innovation, ownership, and performance through clear KPIs and feedback loops. 3. Strengthen Brand Equity & Local Relevance Own brand storytelling across all consumer touchpoints, ensuring consistency in message and identity. Oversee the media and communications strategy (earned and paid), in partnership with the EMEA team. Activate sports marketing and local event strategies in line with global running and sports priorities. Optimize trade marketing and visual merchandising to enhance in‑store and partner experiences. Manage the local marketing budget effectively, ensuring investments reflect brand priorities and deliver ROI. Expected profile. Profile 👉 8+ years of experience in marketing leadership, ideally in sport, footwear or fashion. Experience in building global brands with local relevance 👉 Proven ability to lead cross‑functional marketing teams across brand, comms, digital and trade. 👉 Strong experience balancing lifestyle and performance marketing strategies. Skills 👉 Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). 👉 Strategic thinker with a strong brand‑building track record. 👉 Proficient in digital tools, analytics and omnichannel strategy. 👉 Comfortable operating in a complex matrix environment with multiple stakeholders. 👉 Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence internally and externally.
