OverviewReady to be the legal wizard for the world of IoT? We're expanding our legal team and are on the hunt for a brilliant Legal Counsel to dive into our exciting in-house environment. This isn't your average stuffy legal gig; it's a chance to be at the heart of our operations, providing essential legal support and advice to everyone from our senior business leaders to our sales and administration teams. You'll be a key player in our small but mighty legal team, working closely with the Group Head of Legal and our current trainee solicitor, and collaborating directly with the CEO, CFO, and in-country MDs.ResponsibilitiesProvide commercial legal advice, which means you’ll be negotiating contracts and NDAs, responding to internal legal queries, and getting involved in customer negotiations. You'll also tackle insolvency issues, insurance matters, and billing queries.Manage disputes from start to finish, including debt claims with our credit control and sales admin teams, small claims litigation, and engaging with external debt collection agencies and legal advisers. You might even find yourself attending court proceedings where necessary, and you’ll oversee our independent arbitration facility.Assist with Corporate/M&A activities, specifically helping with the post-acquisition onboarding for M&A deals and coordinating with external resources to get all the necessary Bibles, DD, and other info for the legal team.Keep us compliant You’ll be staying on top of relevant Telecoms, IoT (including Ofcom consultations), and other regulatory requirements, and sharing this crucial compliance info with our customers.Help maintain our intellectual property and copyright, which means you’ll be assisting with our trademark portfolio and handling other IP issues.Support the Group Data Protection Officer with Data Protection tasks, including data impact assessments, incident reports, customer queries, and ensuring we’re always compliant with Data Protection Laws.Qualifications & ExperienceSpecific experience: Eligibility to practice law in France; alternatively, qualification in another civil law jurisdiction with substantial experience in French law.Sector knowledge: Background in commercial contract law and experience working with commercial disputes and claims, along with knowledge of associated legal processes.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills — Fluent in both French and English.Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and caseloads effectively.Attention to detail: Keen eye for detail in file and data analysis.Continuous learner: Strong legal research skills and a genuine desire to develop your understanding of the law.Bonus Skills: Office administrative skills (filing, typing, letter writing), strong teamwork, flexibility, and a solid understanding of business needs.Behaviours & CultureMotivation and passion that lights up the room.Calm under pressure and a collaborative mindset to bring out the best in others.Commitment to inclusion and equity, supporting social initiatives, and being a brand ambassador.Continuous self-development and a positive, can-do attitude.Accountability, professionalism, resilience, and a collaborative style that drives results.Objectives For The YearBecome a commercial contracts guru: negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts, ensuring legal compliance and protecting Wireless Logic's interests.Streamline dispute resolution: manage small claims and debt recovery to reduce external legal spend.Support M&A integration: assist with post-acquisition legal onboarding and documentation processes.Why Come Work With Us?Join a creative, entrepreneurial company where bold ideas are celebrated.Full training, ongoing support, and tools to thrive and grow in your role.We value our people, fostering a caring, respectful, and inclusive environment.What’s Next? & Interview ProcessWe will review all applications within five working days and contact shortlisted candidates.
