Job OverviewSenior Cost Manager responsible for coordination of Cost Management teams assigned to multiple data centre construction projects in France.ResponsibilitiesSupport Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.Engage positively with customers and develop, grow and maintain customer relationships.Deliver high quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet customers’ requirements.Manage projects and deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies.Plan costs and conduct cost‑in‑use studies.Advise on and implement procurement strategies.Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.Evaluate and report on tenders.Value completed work and arrange for payments.Settle final accounts.Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent.Produce and present reports to customers.Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across business unit activities.Manage service delivery for profit.Mentor and coach employees to their full potential.Advises Directors promptly of any issues that arise or might arise on projects, particularly those that might impact Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.Qualifications and ExperienceSound cost management experience covering pre‑contract and construction/post‑contract cost management tasks.Experience on large‑scale projects.Experience in data centre projects is a plus.Understanding of legislation impacting building contracts.Clear and effective communication skills – both oral and written.Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.Excellent problem solving, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams.Fluent level of English.Eligible to work in France.B.S. in Building Engineering, Quantity Surveying or other construction‑related field.Benefits and Career DevelopmentOpportunities to develop and grow your career.Employee Assistance Programme.Equal OpportunityWe’re an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications regardless of age, disability, marital status, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, transgender status or gender.
