OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior FPGA Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing our FPGA capabilities. You will be at the forefront of developing and executing our FPGA strategy, aligning it with Loft’s broader technology roadmap, and ensuring the successful delivery of FPGA-related projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and elevate the technical expertise of the FPGA team.ResponsibilitiesFPGA Design and Development: Collaborate with the team to develop, implement, and verify FPGA logic, supporting Loft’s satellite systems and product roadmapVerification and Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of FPGA designs, ensuring reliability, performance, and adherence to mission requirementsProcess Optimization: Support and improve Loft’s FPGA development processes, contributing to best practices for consistency and scalabilityCross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the engineering, software, and integration teams to ensure FPGA designs align with overall mission objectivesMust HavesBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field7+ years of experience in FPGA design and development (advanced experience is advantageous)Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog, with knowledge of Xilinx VivadoUnderstanding of digital design principles including synthesis, timing analysis, and testingStrong problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesBenefitsEquity, we want you to have an active role in our successUp to 35 days of Paid Time Off (vacations & RTT) and flexible working hoursHealth and life insuranceLunch VouchersCross-office travel opportunities between San Francisco, Colorado, and ToulouseCompany and team off-sites and many other eventsRelocation assistance to Toulouse when applicableWe encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and welcome those who may not meet all listed criteria to applyAbout LoftLoft Orbital builds “shareable” satellites, providing a fast & simple path to orbit for organizations that require access to space.
