Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkSelect how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create AlertAn Amazing Career Opportunity for a Staff Firmware EngineerLocation: Krakow, PolandJob ID: 40123Who are we?HID powers the trusted identities of the world’s people, places, and things, allowing people to transact safely, work productively, and travel freely.As our Firmware Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:Designing and implementing new secure embedded firmware applications in CLeading by example in development practicesDeveloping low-level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)Proposing and implementing architecture for our new and existing productsReviewing and maintaining existing code baseSupporting the designing and developing of desktop engineering toolsDeveloping test fixtures in C and higher-level Object-Oriented languages (e.g., C#)Documenting and providing cross-functional training on low-level conceptsYour Experience and Background include:Minimum 7 years of hands-on code developmentExpertise in C development for firmware purposesExperience with C++Experience with .NET is a plusExpertise in hardware-level drivers (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Bugzilla, Jira)Knowledge of test frameworks and automated build systems (e.g., Jenkins, NUnit, NAnt)Ability to complete design tasks with minimal supervisionExperience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE, or Bluetooth technologies is a plusExperience with Agile Scrum development is a plusKnowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD)Proficient in MS Office applicationsFamiliar with operating environments such as Windows, Linux, and VMWareWhat we can offer you:Competitive salary and rewards packageComprehensive benefits and annual leave for work-life balanceA vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive cultureExtensive career development opportunitiesBeing part of a global organization pioneering hardware, software, and servicesWhy apply?Empowerment: Work as part of a global team in a flexible environment, with opportunities to learn and grow.
