Thanks to the recognized expertise of New Caledonian chemists and metallurgists, our client is now one of the three global industrial complexes capable of producing NHC (Nickel Hydroxide Cake). Composed of 37% nickel and 2-3% cobalt, this intermediate product serves as a raw material for lithium-ion/nickel batteries used in electric vehicle manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesYou will report directly to the Mine Operations Manager as part of your duties. Your main mission? Monitoring mining activities and continuously improving mining processes. You will play a crucial role in achieving our production objectives safely. Your analytical, organizational, and communication skills will be key. Your activities will cover the following areas:Performance AnalysisProduction and Productivity OptimizationDaily Tasks:Contribute to the development and implementation of work procedures for mining activities in coordination with the Superintendents.Participate in risk assessments for activities and organize team awareness training.Work with data from Dispatch and the fatigue management system to highlight risks related to equipment operation.Conduct operational performance analysis for the department and communicate findings.Identify performance gaps on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, diagnose their causes, propose solutions, and support the implementation of corrective actions if necessary.Conduct and/or coordinate the necessary mining studies for optimizing Mining Operations, such as fleet sizing (quantity, type, specifications), mining methods, etc.Support team leaders in managing global and individual performance systems (GPEC, scorecards, training, certifications, HSE communication, operational abuses, etc.).Prepare and participate in team meetings as requested by the Manager and Superintendents.Establish and lead the monitoring of operational failures in coordination with the MEM.Actively contribute to the continuous improvement process.Work on aligning construction material sources with their intended use.Key QualificationsEducation & Experience:Engineering degree in Mining, Geology, or Civil Engineering (TP).At least 5 years of experience as an engineer in an Operational Service (mine or quarries) or in Mining Engineering/Planning. Experience in Civil Engineering is a plus. Experience in Operational Excellence is also beneficial.General & Specific Knowledge:Proficiency in IT tools.Software skills: MS Office (including advanced Excel), VBA/SQL, Power BI.Familiarity with GIS software, mining software, dispatch software, and topography tools.Join us at Easy SkillEasy Skill is changing the way we work.
