OverviewCatalog Manager at Dorman Products. We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Catalog Manager to oversee the applications research strategy that supports new product development and the creation, maintenance, and distribution of the automotive aftermarket product catalog. The role requires a strong understanding of vehicle fitment data, data integrity, and operational efficiency within the automotive aftermarket industry.ResponsibilitiesSupport and implement the applications research strategy with an immediate focus on assisting the Product Management team by providing detailed data (OE research, interchange, carry up, etc.) to drive new product development and ensure data is easily searchable in customer systemsMaintain deep expertise in industry data standards, including ACES and PIES, and ensure catalog data complies with these standards to meet internal and external requirementsCollaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Master Data, and Content Syndication teams to deliver accurate, high-quality product data that supports commercialization and enhances customer experience across platformsPartner with internal stakeholders to identify and implement scalable solutions to centralize and enhance product data systems supporting internal and external systemsEducate key stakeholders on the importance of timely and accurate information and the services provided by the teamDefine and monitor team metrics to optimize resource allocation, track productivity, and drive continuous improvementDevelop strategies to support aggressive global growth and organize the team accordinglyProvide leadership to contributors for professional development, ensuring clear career path goals and tools to achieve personal and company objectivesStay updated on industry trends, vehicle updates, and data standards to continuously improve processesServe as liaison with IT and Product Management regarding catalog maintenance systems, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with stakeholdersPerform other duties as assignedEnhance application data to improve product lookup success rates and maintain keywords/aliases in internal and external systemsQualificationsProven leadership to manage a team of contributors and communicate cross-functionally with senior stakeholdersProficiency in catalog management software and understanding of ACES and PIESStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve catalog-related issues and develop strategyFamiliarity with automotive parts, fitment data, and industry-specific attributesKnowledge of SQL programming and database management is a plusPhysical requirement: ability to lift 20 poundsWorking conditions: ability to handle typical workplace activities; occasional lifting and moving of items; moderate noise levelEducation / ExperienceB.S. degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience with automotive aftermarket catalog management and knowledge of AutoCare catalog standards (ACES, PIES, PADB)Dorman Products is an equal opportunity employer; we value a combination of ideas, perspectives, and cultures.
