Our technology department, called the Bureau of Technology (BoT), brings together over 30 product teams, supported by a Platform group and cross‑functional knowledge groups. About The Role You will build, deploy and scale AI‑driven solutions that enhance our Customer Care operations. Working with data scientists and backend engineers, you’ll create Care AI agents that help customers resolve issues faster and more accurately. What You’ll Do Build scalable infrastructure and APIs to integrate AI capabilities (LLMs, ML models) into Back Market’s customer care systems Implement AI agent actions, MCP server connections, and data pipelines enabling the Care AI Agent to serve customers 24/7 Develop robust monitoring, evaluation, and safety guardrails for AI features handling sensitive customer interactions Collaborate with data scientists to productionise ML models and optimise performance at scale Leverage strong backend engineering skills with a keen interest in AI/ML technologies and learn LLM integration patterns Passionate about leveraging AI to improve customer experiences and eager to work at the intersection of engineering and data science Our Technical Environment Backend stack: Python – FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Celery, Golang Frontend stack: VueJS, Typescript, Nuxt, Revolve (our design system) Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, BigQuery Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Datadog, ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub Bonus Points Familiarity with machine learning and statistical concepts.
