The EIB offers relocation support and a multicultural environment.The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking a (Senior) Applications & Technology Architect in the Information Systems Directorate (IS), Enterprise Architecture Unit (EA).This is a full-time, permanent position at grade 5/6.PurposeDesign high-level application architectures, integrate complex solutions, and lead innovation to empower business growth and digital transformation.Operating NetworkThe Enterprise Architecture Unit supports digital transformation, aligning with the EIB's digital strategy and operational imperatives, facilitating business process optimization and innovation.AccountabilitiesLead application & technology architecture practice, establishing standards and guidelines.Design future solutions, collaborating with Solution Architects and Delivery teams.Guide development across business, application, technology, data, operations, and security layers.Maintain architectural documentation and manage related initiatives.Optimize and innovate within the application and technology landscape.Ensure alignment with market standards and best practices.Collaborate with senior leaders to translate business needs into technological solutions.QualificationsUniversity degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise or application architecture.Knowledge of architecture principles, design patterns, and integration techniques.Experience with multiple technology stacks and frameworks.Understanding of data architecture, modeling, and integration, preferably in Cloud environments.Proficiency in English and French; knowledge of other EU languages is a plus.Additional InformationProficiency in both English and French (level 5 of CEFRL) is required for career development within the EIB.
