Overview The Global IT Engineer is a senior‑level role responsible for the stability, scalability, and security of Solmax’s global IT systems, with emphasis on infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise platforms. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of IT Engineering, this position is integral to the advancement of enterprise technology services, modernization initiatives, and IT governance. The successful candidate brings hands‑on expertise, a problem‑solving mindset, and experience navigating cross‑functional projects that span cloud, endpoint, and server infrastructure. This role is based in Bezons until the end of 2026 after which the role will be based in our new facility in Les Mureaux. Responsibilities: Manage, maintain, and optimize on‑premises and cloud‑based server infrastructure, including Windows, Linux, and virtualization platforms, for business and manufacturing operations. Ensure patching, backup, and configuration management for critical systems and services across global environments. Implement system‑level security controls and hardening techniques in alignment with industry standards such as NIST or CIS benchmarks. Provide support for Manufacturing Operations by maintaining and securing Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure. Own escalated incidents related to servers or enterprise IT platforms, drive root cause analysis and knowledge base creation. Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency. Manage external vendors handling monitoring, security, or services. Evaluate performance and enforce SLA compliance. Contribute to enterprise IT planning initiatives, offering network perspectives that influence infrastructure strategy and service design.
