Location : Paris, France Company Overview Our client is a leading French-based investment bank with a strong European footprint, offering a full range of financial markets and investment banking services. The firm is seeking to strengthen its European Government Bond (EGB) sales and trading platform, with a focus on the 5–10 year maturity segment of core European sovereign debt. Role Overview Based in Paris, the successful candidate will play a key role in the coverage and execution of European Government Bonds (EGBs) in the 5–10 year segment, serving institutional clients across Europe. The role requires strong market knowledge, execution capability, and client relationship skills to contribute to the growth of the bank’s fixed income franchise. Key Responsibilities Manage sales and / or trading activity in core European Government Bonds (5–10 years maturity). Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, including asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, and hedge funds. Provide clients with market insights, trade ideas, and execution strategies. Monitor European macroeconomic developments and their impact on sovereign debt markets. Work closely with research, strategy, and syndicate teams to deliver integrated client coverage. Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal risk management frameworks. Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience in fixed income sales or trading, ideally focused on European Government Bonds. Strong understanding of sovereign debt markets, interest rate dynamics, and European macroeconomics. Established network of institutional clients across Europe. Ability to provide both market color and value-added trade ideas. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and French; additional European languages are a plus.
