You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling our search capabilities supporting the needs of our users and internal systems.Reporting line: VP of EngineeringLocation: Paris (France) or London (UK)What you will doKey ResponsibilitiesThe Knowledge & Search team is the backbone that connects our customers to the information they need. We are looking for an experienced software engineer to lead our indexing and searching capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with our data and infrastructure teams to build, maintain, and scale our search platform while ensuring high performance and reliability.Your responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):Building, maintaining, and enhancing fast, reliable, and scalable indexing and searching capabilities (web and knowledge)Working with search-oriented databases to optimize and fine-tune full search pipelines from document ingestion to retrievalOwning our information retrieval systems serving both internal needs and enterprise customersEnsuring our search capabilities meet increasing customer demandsCollaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve search reliability, performance, and scale across cloud-native and on-premise servicesAbout You7+ years of relevant professional work experienceMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldExperience building and scaling distributed search engine systemsExcellent proficiency in backend software development (Python, Go, C++, Rust, etc.)Solid proficiency in infrastructure management (Docker, K8s, Terraform, etc.)Good knowledge of cloud-native ecosystemsAutonomous and self-starterAbility to communicate with influenceIt would be ideal if you also have experience with:AI/ML engineeringInfrastructure management (Docker, CI/CD, K8s, Helm, Terraform, etc.)What we offerCompetitive cash salary and equityHealth insuranceTransportation allowanceSport allowanceMeal vouchersPrivate pension planGenerous parental leave policyVisa sponsorshipSeniority levelNot ApplicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesTechnology, Information and InternetReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Mistral AI by 2x.Get notified about new Software Engineer jobs in Paris, Île-de-France, France. #J-18808-Ljbffr
