We continue to strengthen our commitment to provide a work environment and culture that stimulates creativity, values integrity and encourages professional growth.We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team:The Lead Electrical Engineer provides electrical design expertise and leadership for their discipline of a project, from initial survey through final inspection. The Lead Electrical Engineer serves as the electrical discipline team leader for the project, directing other engineers and designers as required and appropriate. Typical duties that the Lead Electrical Engineer may be expected to perform include writing technical reports, conducting surveys, performing calculations, completing power, telemetry, and telecommunications designs, conducting research and development, systems integration, testing, hands-on assembly, and PLC programming.BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university5-10 years of MEP or similar experienceEngineer In Training (EIT) required; or Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to obtain within 1 yearActive Secret or Top-Secret security clearanceExperience with single- and three-phase power systemsExperience with electrical codes and standardsExperience conducting field surveys of existing conditionsExperience with multi-disciplinary work, both internal and external to the companyStrong communications skills, both written and oralProficiency in self-management within a team environmentAble to complete project from start to finish with moderate supervisor oversightProficiency with 2D CAD (AutoCAD)Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteArchitecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) design or hands-on engineering experienceCritical power system designs involving UPSs, generators, transfer switches, and redundant/fault tolerant topologiesExperience with industrial and/or network communications protocols and hardwareGeneral knowledge of control systems, including physical design, PLC/HMI programming, and monitoring/telemetry systemsExperience with Photovoltaic (PV) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) designExperience providing technical training and technical writingExperience with SKM (or ETAP)Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee medium single-discipline engineering projects, or work with a team on large or complex multi-discipline projects.Coordinate with internal and external discipline leads, as well as client, construction manager, subcontractor, and vendor interfaces. Provide feedback to project managers and customers to address their problems and needs.Assist the project manager and senior engineer with proposal development.Identify non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys.Develop electrical training presentations and manuals for internal and external use.Develop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on projects of moderate complexity and with little oversight.Research, design, specify, and evaluate electrical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.Assist with writing performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.Apply engineering principles and be open to acquiring new skills and knowledge in the field of engineering.Read, develop, and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations for future mitigation strategies or design modifications to eliminate device or system malfunctions.About EKFox Specialized Design Group:The Specialized Design Group was formed with the specific objective of addressing the more complex and specialized infrastructure requirements of a select group of confidential clienteles which includes work of national interest.
