Datadog’s Product Engineering teams build the interfaces that customers rely on to observe, monitor, and troubleshoot their systems in real time. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll lead the development of complex UI features used daily by hundreds of thousands of users across our core observability products. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to shape the user experience, own architectural decisions, and continuously improve the performance and accessibility of our frontend systems. What You’ll Do: Design, build, and deliver scalable frontend features for Datadog’s core observability products Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define user experiences, data flows, and APIs Lead technical discussions and contribute to long‑term architectural decisions Improve performance, reliability, and accessibility of user‑facing applications Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability Mentor other engineers and promote frontend engineering best practices across the team Who You Are: You have 6+ years of experience building production‑grade frontend applications at scale You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React You have strong knowledge of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and browser fundamentals You’ve taken major features from concept to launch with minimal supervision You’re an effective communicator who can influence technical direction You prioritize user experience and have an eye for UI quality and detail Datadog values people from all walks of life.
