We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our AI & Data squad – someone who thrives in complexity, is passionate about intelligent systems, and can turn raw data and automation into intuitive product experiences that unlock smarter decision‑making. About the Role As a senior‑level Product Designer focused on AI & data, you will: Join a close‑knit design team of eight, where collaboration, culture, and in‑office moments are celebrated. Take full ownership of key AI‑powered product experiences—from discovery and research through design, experimentation, and iterative delivery. Partner closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to bring smart automation, insights, and predictive workflows to life. Design the systems and interfaces that power data‑driven decisions for thousands of finance professionals. What You’ll Be Doing Lead UX for AI & data‑driven features. Design intelligent experiences—from smart suggestions and classifications to embedded analytics and data workflows. Drive strategic research & discovery. Uncover user needs around data clarity, automation, and trust. Translate insights into product direction and design hypotheses. Design for trust & transparency. Craft experiences that help users understand, validate, and feel confident acting on AI/ML‑powered outputs. Shape data interaction patterns. Build reusable frameworks for tables, filters, aggregations, anomaly detection, and forecasting. Facilitate collaboration. Align with cross‑functional teams including data, product, engineering, and compliance to ship technically feasible and high‑impact designs. Measure & iterate. Define UX success metrics, run experiments, analyze impact, and continuously improve AI‑driven product surfaces. Champion design quality. Set the standard for thoughtful, elegant, and practical design within a deeply technical problem space. What You’ll Need 5–8 years of product/UX design experience (preferably in B2B SaaS), including at least 2+ years in a senior‑level role owning end‑to‑end delivery of complex features. A portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, clarity in data‑heavy interfaces, and experience working on intelligent or automation‑led products. Mastery of Figma and prototyping tools, with the ability to map flows, edge cases, and dynamic states clearly. Deep fluency in design systems, accessibility, and scalable responsive UI patterns. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g. predictions, classifications, explainability, feedback loops). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—you bring people along and influence decisions with clarity and empathy. A curious, systems‑thinking mindset—you’re excited by ambiguity and solving complex problems in collaboration with technical partners. Nice to Have Experience working on data platforms, analytics tools, or automation engines. Familiarity with finance or operations use cases such as budgeting, forecasting, or reconciliation. A strong point of view on designing for AI trust, interpretability, and human‑in‑the‑loop systems. Hands‑on with AI tools in your own workflow (e.g., Figma AI, Cursor, Notion AI, ChatGPT, etc.). Growth & Development Help define how intelligence and data come to life across the Spendesk platform. Visibility and ownership in a strategic, fast‑evolving product area with high business impact. Clear path to Staff Product Designer and beyond, with mentorship, progression support, and real ownership.
