R&D Engineer Position – SWIR Detection in 2P & Wide-Field MicroscopyOrganization: Institute for Advanced BiosciencesDuration: 12 months (starting end of 2025, flexible)About the projectYou will join the ANR project MAGELLAN (Multiplex imaging of live cells with luminescent lanthanide bioprobes), which aims to develop the deep functional multiplexed imaging deep in tissues using new infrared and visible luminophores. The project brings together experts in biology, chemistry, optics, and industry, offering a highly interdisciplinary and stimulating environment.As an R&D engineer, you will be in charge of developing and characterizing new NIR–SWIR opto-electronic modalities on two state-of-the-art commercial systems (2P and wide-field microscopy).Your work will involveSetting up free-run single-photon counting synchronized with confocal scanning.Optimizing and extending the user interface (GUI) to facilitate 3D multimodal imaging (visible + NIR) and time-resolved acquisitions.Exploring extensions to wide-field and spinning disk imaging.Participating in imaging campaigns on live cells and organoids with new probes, contributing to scientific publications.ProfileWe are looking for a candidate with:Confirmed experience in detector interfacing, data acquisition, and GUI programming,Background in InGaAs detector technology (APDs, cameras), NIR optics, confocal/2P microscopy, and TCSPC (desirable),A taste for interdisciplinary research and teamwork.Why Grenoble?#1 public research hub in France outside Paris. 4 th European city for deeptech funding (2023).Named Green Capital 2022 and ranked 3 rd best city worldwide for quality of life (Oxford Economics | Global Cities Index 2025). #J-18808-Ljbffr
