Field Engineer

4596BR Aga Khan Agency for Habitat The position The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan seeks applications for Field Engineers for its project areas in Thatta and Badin. The engineers in this role will support the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene interventions in targeted communities. The position focuses on technical field support, quality assurance, community engagement, and documentation of WASH infrastructure and activities. The responsibilities include the following : Assist in conducting technical assessments and feasibility studies for water supply, sanitation, and hygiene infrastructure. Support the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, bills of quantities (BoQs), and technical specifications. Monitor construction, rehabilitation, or installation of WASH facilities (water systems, hand pumps, latrines, drainage, solid waste structures, etc.) to ensure compliance with standards and approved designs. Conduct quality assurance checks on materials and workmanship at project sites. Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and providing timely recommendations. Work closely with community leaders, WASH committees, and local authorities to ensure participatory planning and sustainability. Facilitate community sensitization sessions related to WASH infrastructure use and maintenance. Collect field data, prepare site reports, and maintain up-to-date documentation of all WASH activities. Support the preparation of progress reports, case studies, technical notes, and success stories for internal and donor reporting. Contribute to monitoring and evaluation exercises, including baseline and endline surveys. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for the timely delivery of materials. The requirements Experience required : BE (Civil) or DAE (Civil Technology) Educational requirements : University Graduate (BE / BS) in Civil with 02 years of experience or Diploma in Associate Engineering (Civil) with 4 years’ experience.
