About the Role As a core member of the Commissioning Department, you are the expert responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the commissioning and start‑up phases at site. You are the central link, working hand‑in‑hand with engineering, construction, HSE, project management, commissioning supervisors and client teams to guarantee a safe, efficient, and successful plant start‑up. Key Responsibilities Define the commissioning strategy, planning, staffing and execution for assigned projects. Support the proposal effort. Lead all commissioning activities to safely deliver the project on time, on budget and with the expected level of quality. Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation (Commissioning Plan, test procedures, tracking matrices, handover dossiers). Coordinate all pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities across disciplines (process, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, utilities). Manage internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning engineers. Oversee cold and hot testing (blowing, loop checking), initial start‑up, and operational readiness, ensuring full safety and technical compliance. Act as the main point of contact for commissioning with the client, project team, and construction site. Manage punch lists, non‑conformities, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. Lead daily/weekly commissioning meetings and ensure progress is reported accurately. Contribute to final project reviews and post‑project lessons learned. Define the strategy, planning and mobilisation for projects ranging from 1 to 6 months. Ensure safety of all commissioning activities, implementing HSE procedures and promoting a proactive safety culture. Deliver the project within deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations. Qualifications Hold a BAC+2 or an engineering degree (or equivalent) in process, mechanical, instrumentation or generalist. Have at least 8 years of experience in industrial commissioning (preferably in gases, chemicals, energy or process industries) and minimum 5 years as a commissioning manager. Possess a solid understanding of process plant operation and multidisciplinary interfaces. Demonstrate strong command of commissioning methodology, documentation, and safety standards. Have excellent communication, planning and leadership skills. Be fluent in English and French (written and spoken) – mandatory. Be ready to travel and be assigned to international project sites for extended periods (6–18 months). Manager's Word We are a team that is fully committed to every project.
