Role: Senior Project Manager - Solar & Renewable Energy Location: France (various project sites) Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, permanent Language Requirements: Fluent English & French About the company Our client is a leading international renewable energy developer and EPC, delivering large-scale solar and storage projects across multiple geographies. Our client manages projects end-to-end, from design and development through to construction and commissioning. They are now expanding operations into France and looking to grow their local project delivery team. Role overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of solar projects in France. This role will primarily focus on the construction phase, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while meeting quality and technical standards. The successful candidate will be hands‑on, coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams, and will gradually be positioned to progress into a Project Director role as the business grows. Key responsibilities Manage the construction delivery of solar PV projects across France, including site mobilisation, health & safety, quality, and schedule management. Coordinate with contractors, EPC teams, and internal project managers to ensure smooth delivery. Monitor and report on project progress, budget, risks, and milestones to the Managing Director. Support permitting, grid connection, and stakeholder engagement as required during construction. Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share lessons learned across projects. Provide technical and operational guidance to junior engineers or project team members. Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement project delivery strategies for the French market. Ideal candidate profile Minimum 5 years’ experience managing construction projects, preferably within solar PV or renewable energy. Strong understanding of solar PV construction processes, civil works, and electrical installation. Fluent in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, subcontractors, and project teams. Experience in budget management, schedule control, and risk mitigation. Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of operating in a fast-growing, evolving environment. Ability to grow into a Project Director role over time.
