No Offer Description At PRISMM , we enjoy analysing biomarkers of exposure and effect in complex samples using mass spectrometry. To do this, we develop cutting‑edge, high‑performance and robust analytical methods. All of these activities enable PRISMM to claim true originality on a national scale in the study of exposome, which has led to its certification by GIS IBiSA.We are looking for a project manager to develop the suspect screening part of the ANR‑funded WATER‑RECALL project. The aim of this project is to determine the impact of global warming and agricultural practices on the quality of river water in Normandy. The first approach will consist of carrying out a semi‑targeted analysis followed by targeted analyses, particularly on pesticides. After a first one‑year position, the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to stay for an additional two‑years period to develop similar approaches on human biological samples.If you are passionate about analytical chemistry and eager to make a tangible impact, we would love to meet you Your Mission Develop a method for screening of suspects in sediments and river water filtered on POCIS from Normandy river using UHPLC‑HRMS/MS ; Analyse, exploit and interpret the results obtained ; Identify unknown compounds from mass spectra and fragmentation spectrum ; Develop and validate a targeted method for the most relevant pesticides ; Analyse samples, exploit and interpret the results obtained ; Disseminate and promote the results obtained at conferences and within national and international professional networks ; Contribute to scientific publications and technical reports. Where to apply E-mail raphael.delepee@unicaen.fr Requirements Research Field Chemistry Education Level PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications Education: PhD in Analytical Chemistry, with experience in suspect screening by LC‑HRMS. Skills: theoretical and practical in‑depth knowledge in all analytical domains sample preparation, liquid chromatography, high‑resolution mass spectrometry, data processing applied to suspect screening. Qualities: Rigor, scientific curiosity, team spirit, autonomy and a drive to manage impactful scientific projects. Bonus: Experience in targeted analysis of pesticides in environmental or human matrices and method validation. A first‑rate analytical lab: including two UHPLC‑HRMS/MS systems, three UHPLC‑MS/MS systems, one SBSE‑GC‑MS/MS system and two automated sample preparation systems.
