Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 300 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.Role overviewWe’re seeking an experienced systems administrator who’s eager to use and grow his or her technological skills on a worldwide stage. In this role, the successful individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on, you’ll help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions for the world.DutiesResponsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualizationInstall and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processesTroubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issuesProvide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructurePerform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover proceduresLead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptionsResponsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performanceMust haveBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plusWorking knowledge of virtualization about VMwareStrong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocolsExperience with scripting and automation toolsA proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plansStrong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsTechnical skillsGeneral IT knowledgeKnowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCPKnowledge of O365, (azure)Active DirectoryKnowledge of VMware & vSANKnowledge of Veeam BackupKnowledge of Windows ServerKnowledge of Firewalls, routing, wifi systemsPowershell knowledgeIntune knowledgeKnowledge of French and EnglishWhat we offerBuild your own career pathDirect impact on the growth of the companyFast-paced environmentFlexible ways of workingSalary package consistent with your experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
